Cookie Policy

Our cookie policy and how we use them

Last updated: October 23, 2026.

1 About this policy

SwiftTrail Data Solutions Ltd (Company No. C2026091700015), a company incorporated in Trinidad and Tobago trading as SwiftTrail (we or us), uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage on useswifttrail.com and the SwiftTrail application. This policy explains what they are, which ones we actually use, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Notice at useswifttrail.com/legal/privacy, which governs any personal information these technologies involve.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser local storage, which keeps information on your device without sending it back to a server on every request. We describe both below, since this policy is about what we store in your browser, not only files that are technically cookies.

2 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off without breaking core features such as signing in. We do not ask for consent to these, consistent with standard cookie-law exemptions for strictly necessary cookies.

CookiePurposeDuration
Authentication session cookie (set by our sign-in system)Keeps you signed in and identifies your account and organization as you move between pages. Marked Secure on our live site.Expires when your session ends or you sign out, per our authentication provider's session settings.
Security and anti-abuse cookiesUsed during sign-in, password reset and similar flows to protect against cross-site request forgery and automated abuse.Short-lived; cleared once the related flow completes.

3 Preference cookies

These remember a choice you made so we don't ask again on your next visit. They do not identify you to third parties and are not used for advertising.

CookiePurposeDuration
themeRemembers whether you chose light mode, dark mode, or to follow your system setting.Up to 1 year.

Your choice about this Cookie Policy itself (if we show a cookie notice and you respond to it) is remembered in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. It stays on your device, is not sent to our servers, and is cleared if you clear your browser's site data.

4 Cookies we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies on useswifttrail.com or in the SwiftTrail application. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, consistent with Section 5 of our Privacy Notice. Cloudflare provides authoritative DNS for our domain only; it is not configured as a proxy or CDN in front of our site and does not set cookies through SwiftTrail's pages.

5 Cookies set by others during checkout

When billing is active and you start a purchase, our payment processor Paddle.com Inc. (Merchant of Record) may set its own cookies on its hosted checkout pages for fraud prevention, session continuity and its own analytics. Those cookies are controlled by Paddle, not SwiftTrail, and are explained in Paddle's own Privacy Policy and Buyer Terms. We do not receive or control Paddle's cookie data.

6 Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies through their settings, and clear local storage through the same site-data controls. Blocking the authentication session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in, since it is required for the Service to work. Blocking the theme preference cookie only means we can't remember your light/dark mode choice between visits.

7 Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the cookies we use change, for example if billing-related or new product features introduce a new cookie. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
